Petites Écuries

The Franklin Azzi agency has added an extra storey to an office building in Paris, creating a recessed fourth floor with 580 m² of floor space. In keeping with the existing volumes, this intervention transforms an unused roof terrace into a bright workspace at the heart of the block. The simple, lightweight wooden structure respects the balance of the original building while asserting a contemporary style. The project favours materials with low environmental impact, chosen for their dual technical and aesthetic performance. The overhanging zinc roof and metal grating roof covering provide sun protection and quality of use, while reinforcing the volumetric interpretation of the project.
