Océan, Nonotak Studio

The architect Franklin Azzi and the artists of the NONOTAK studio worked in tandem to create the work ‘Océan’ at the heart of the new L'Haÿ-Les-Roses station (RATP group and Grand Paris Express).

The work by Studio Nonotak, featuring Noemi Schipfer and Takami Nakamoto, who are no strangers to kinetic devices, finds a singular correspondence with the architecture, and its geometry joins and complements that of the station's straight and oblique lines. Using programmed lighting, bars of LEDs draw moving figures. Above all, a circle, a metal sun streaked with gleams and shadows that rises and falls just above our heads.
