Interior
Jérôme Dreyfuss, London
In 2015 Jérôme Dreyfuss, founder of the French leather goods brand of the same name, called on architect Franklin Azzi to design his first London shop.
In the same way that the designer shook up the codes of accessories by mixing feminine and masculine registers, the architect conceived a made-to-measure space, a boutique-experience with a modular layout far removed from traditional display schemes.
This former bank consists of a single rectangular volume with very high ceilings, and two of its four façades are entirely glazed. The architect decided to make the most of this unique space by creating large interior screens, each composed of several dozen pivoting solid oak cleats. Sliding along the entire length of the glass façade, they showcase both the collections and the space, creating a kinetic effect of light throughout the shop.
