Grande Armée

The extensive renovation of an office building located at 46-48 Avenue de la Grande Armée has given the building greater visibility and openness to the city. This 9,200 m² complex, combining Art Deco and Industrial styles, is home to Sanofi's global headquarters.

The architectural intervention has several objectives: on the one hand, to enhance the blind spaces on the lower floors in order to give the building greater visibility and openness to the city, and on the other hand, to modernize it so that it complies with regulatory standards and meets current standards for office buildings in terms of capacity and user comfort.

The restructuring of the historic patio and the creation of a veritable agora now connects the two buildings, whose facades have been entirely preserved, while enhancing the ceiling heights and bringing in natural light. The ground floor and first floor open onto the central atrium via hoppers and peripheral walkways. On the roof, an extension has been added to the seventh floor on the Avenue de la Grande Armée side. This glass extension and its roof are connected to the existing seventh and eighth floors on the Rue de Brunel side.
