Chair, Tour d'Argent

Inspired by the woven-back chairs that furnished the restaurant in the 1930s, Franklin Azzi has designed a new seat that remains faithful to the original spirit while being resolutely contemporary. The designer chose to revisit this classic by replacing the traditional cane work with a jute rope backrest, crafted with the expertise of the Pierre Frey upholstery textile studio. This work with the material pays homage to the craftsmanship of yesteryear while asserting a sober and contemporary aesthetic.
