Bali Barret 02, Red Military Tent

For Bali Barret's second boutique, Franklin Azzi conceived an experimental space in the heart of Tokyo. Hidden behind a large red tarpaulin, the boutique takes the form of a repurposed military tent, a symbol of unconventional and unconventional luxury. Designed like a large-scale garment, the oiled canvas façade is cut flat according to a pattern, stretched over a metal frame, strapped with natural leather, and weighted with sandbags. Inside, a volume upholstered in ecru canvas extends this textile and artisanal approach. Through its intriguing opacity and radical language, the architecture sparks curiosity and stands out as a visual landmark in the Tokyo cityscape.
