ENSCI-Les Ateliers degree defence

On the occasion of the 2025 Industrial Design diploma session at ENSCI – Les Ateliers, Noémie Goddard, Associate Director of the agency, chaired the thesis defense juries of Julie Edmond and Marine Quéré.

Julie Edmond presented her dissertation 314 things you might have seen before… or not, a sensitive exploration of the concept of the Tomason, as well as her project Près du feu, dedicated to studying the aesthetic and material potential of charred wood.

Marine Quéré, for her part, defended her dissertation Litholatrie – Le culte des pierres (Litholatry – The Worship of stones), which questions our symbolic and material relationship with minerals. Her project Reflets croisés offers an exploration of the unstable surfaces of moiré, where plays of reflection and shifting patterns blur the boundaries between matter and appearance.

Alongside professionals from various fields of design, this participation provided an opportunity to closely observe the outcome of several months of research and to experiment with new forms of deliverables. It is, for the agency, a way to remain attentive to developments in design and to the diversity of practices that enrich the profession.

Thanks to Gilles Belley, Head of the Degree Programme, and Sabrina de Saint Chamas, Head of External Relations and Sponsorship, for the invitation.
